What are the benefits?
As we age, the amount of collagen and elastin in our skin diminishes. This is important because collagen and elastin are responsible for the health, strength, and elasticity of our skin. However, Morpheus8™ treatments work by combining the rejuvenating effects of microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) skin tightening. This treatment can be performed effectively on the face, neck, knees, abdomen, and arms.
After your Morpheus8™ treatment, you will notice:
- Smoother skin
- Tighter skin
- Improved skin texture and tone
- Reduced wrinkles and fine lines
- A reduced appearance of sun damage and age spots
- A reduced appearance of scars (including acne scars)
- Less noticeable stretch marks
- Minor fat reduction
- A more youthful and healthy skin appearance
How does Morpheus8™ work to Tighten and Rejuvenate the Skin?
Morpheus8™ combines microneedling and RF technology. These treatment types work to stimulate natural healing in your body and increase the production of collagen and elastin in your skin.
For your procedure, a topical numbing cream will be placed on the treatment area(s). Next, the Morpheus8™ device will be moved slowly over your skin.
Microneedles in the device will cause micro-injuries to the outer layer of your skin to promote natural healing and the growth of new, healthy skin. At the same time as the microneedling treatment, pulses of radiofrequency energy penetrate to the dermis (the deep layers of your skin) to promote collagen production.
In many ways, you can think of your Morpheus8™ treatment as a way of jumpstarting your body into healing and correcting itself. As the micro-injuries heal, new and healthy skin and tissue grows to give you transformative results that you will feel confident and proud of having.
Am I a candidate?
If you are in good general health but struggle with lifestyle- or age-related skin issues (either on your face or in other areas of your body), then Morpheus8™ may be the right treatment option for you.
As with any plastic surgery or cosmetic treatment procedure, one of the most important aspects of your Morpheus8™ treatment is your consultation. During your Morpheus8™ consultation, you will have a chance to discuss your aesthetic frustrations and goals, and Dr. Bandy will be able to determine if Morpheus8™ is the right treatment for you.

What is recovery like after?
Besides the transformative results achieved by Morpheus8™, one of the best aspects of this treatment is that there is little to no downtime required. Most patients are able to return to their normal, daily activities (including work) that same day or the day following their treatment.
You will likely experience some slight bruising, swelling, and redness in the treatment area as well as some general soreness, but these side effects should dissipate within a day or two.
Many patients report the treatment area feeling warm, like the skin is sunburned, for a week. To alleviate any recovery symptoms, you can use ice packs and over-the-counter medication.
Additionally, it is important that you apply moisturizer to the skin, starting the day after your treatment, and make sure that you use sunscreen of at least SPF 30 when going out in the sun. Schedule a Consultation
How Much Does Morpheus8™ Cost?
As with any plastic surgery or cosmetic procedure, the cost of Morpheus8™ varies for each patient and procedure, depending on several factors, including the extent of correction needed, the size of the treatment area, the number of treatment areas, and the number of treatment sessions required.
At your consultation, Dr. Bandy will provide you with a more accurate Morpheus8™ cost assessment. Our office partners with several financing companies to help with your payment.
How Effective Is Morpheus8™?
Morpheus8™ skin tightening treatments are very trusted and effective. You will begin to see improvement to your treated skin three days after your treatment session, though it is important to understand that it can take up to six weeks for your results to become final.Depending on the extent of correction needed, many patients require two to four treatment sessions, spaced several weeks apart to achieve optimal results.
Morpheus8™ results generally last about one year before requiring maintenance treatments, though your stunning results can be prolonged with a healthy lifestyle (balanced diet, regular exercise, and a good skin care routine).
What Are the Risks?
Morpheus8™ skin tightening is very safe; however, like all cosmetic treatments, there are some risks and side-effects associated with the treatment, including:
- Pain
- Bleeding
- Bruising
- Swelling
- Skin redness

Can I combine other treatments with Morpheus8™?
Yes. Morpheus8™ can be combined with other non-surgical treatments, such as dermal filler treatments, laser resurfacing treatments, and injectable treatments (such as BOTOX® Cosmetic); however, not all of these procedures can be performed at the same time.
At your consultation, Dr. Bandy will discuss your options for combining treatments if you are looking for even more transformative results.
