Booking a surgery for an out-of-town patient is a simple process that will give you the results you desire.

Consultation

The first step is the consultation.  We do many consultations by email and over the phone.  We also offer video consultations where you are able to talk face to face with Dr. Bandy!  You can begin by contacting our patient coordinator who will send you an email with our new patient paperwork so that Dr. Bandy can assess your candidacy for surgery.  We will also ask that you provide photos of the areas you are wanting Dr. Bandy to address for you.  One of the most important things is your “wish” photos.  For example, if you are inquiring about a breast augmentation, we will encourage you to find photos of women who have a similar body type to your own, and who have the breast size and shape that you are looking for.  This will help Dr. Bandy gauge exactly what she needs to do to get you your very best results.

During your consultation, Dr. Bandy will make her recommendation and provide you with a quote.  This is a great time to ask any questions that you may have about the procedure(s), recovery, payment options, financing, and surgical dates.  Our patient coordinator can usually answer most questions, and anything that she cannot answer, she can relay to Dr. Bandy and get you an answer.

Surgery Deposit

Once you have decided on a date for surgery, you will need to place your deposit to hold that date.  Our deposit is $1,000 and is applied towards your surgical balance.  The rest of your payment is due 2 weeks before surgery.  We will also set up a pre-operative phone call to go over your consents and send you to the lab to get your blood work done.

Accommodations

Our office is located in beautiful Newport Beach, California.  We recommend making accommodations to stay at a nearby hotel or AirBnB.  Our staff can make recommendations for you if needed!  You will need to bring a friend or family member with you to care for you after surgery.  After surgery, we recommend you stay in town for a minimum of 5 days after surgery so that we are able to monitor you.  Usually, after 5 days, you are cleared to drive or fly home.  After that, we can do most of your follow-ups by phone, email, and video conference.
